A main use of Activated Alumina desiccant is in the drying of natural gases. This procedure is highly important in the petroleum and natural gas industries where gases must be rid of all moisture and impurities. Usually Activated Alumina finds use for two purposes, removing water from both air and gas streams. In the natural gas industry, it is mainly employed to dry compressed air and dry gases with relatively high moisture contents.
