Banking is now a hot and trending sector in the country. The concept of working in nationalized banks is an old one. With the introduction of private banks, several new opportunities have been created. This has resulted in a huge competition in the banking sector in terms of services, facilities and even promotions.
Due to competition, banks have resorted to recruitments through entrance tests to ensure a high & uniform standard of employee pool. With exception of some private banks conducting their own exams, the Common Written Examination (CWE) is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). The result of this exam is accepted by about 21 public sector banks for the recruitment of clerical staff & probationary officer’s post.
