was organized by SMS Lucknow in association with Institution of Engineers , U.P State Centre on 7 & 8 September.
, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission UP, was Chief Guest on the inaugural day of National Seminar Known Environment experts from all over the country were present on the first day of seminar along with Technocrats from Institution of Engineers (UP State Centre).
, Executive Member, Institution of Engineers, said “Global warming is the main reason behind melting of Glaciers and rise in sea water level. New York in America is supposed to be a safest city but the rise in sea water level is responsible for disaster brought by hurricane ‘Sandy’.”
CEO & Secretary SMS emphasized that today’s fast life is the main culprit behind global warming. He said “In today’s modern life nobody thinks that they them self are responsible for this extreme weather conditions. Tree plantations can be of help in reducing CO2 density which will ultimately help in reducing global warming.” also reiterated that the main reason for Uttrakhand catastrophe was deforestation of Hills.
